“My Body Is Not A Sacrifice To Capitalism”

poem~

God forbid we feel the grief of the world as the grief we already feel for ourselves. God forbid we feel it. Share it, live in it. Aren’t we a collective consciousness? You can not even run or hide from the world we all suffer. We can rot inside and out. We can rot together. Guilt does not grow on trees. Guilt is kept alive through all of us. Our spirits. The same energy in different contexts. Hide ur self loathing. Hide ur death. We can all do it together. Let’s cry for a world to be born so we can feel human. Then let’s hide away and watch it die together. Hands over our eyes. Constantly staring past our fingers. We can not owe ourselves, we cannot owe you. Do not suffer where I can see you, do not suffer with the suffering. How stupid. To share the suffering, we’re all suffering from the suffering. There’s a reason we all hide. Do I look like I can suffer? God forbid we suffer more. God forbid I make u suffer. God forbid we feel something together. I can’t see myself in your eyes, not while you suffer. Not while u reflect my pain. We can’t all be scared. Love is dead (but not for me) the world is full of hate. (but not for us) (I will always search for love) ( I’m wired like that) (I will always feel it) (I only want to feel love) (I grieve the love I can give. The love I feel is useless. And I’m hiding. And we’re hiding.) (God forbid we try. God forbid we care. God forbid we do something that feels right. God forbid we’re rooted in love.)
